Owldid is a web design company in Nairobi that builds custom websites and business systems for Kenyan companies. Websites run from KES 35,000 to KES 279,000 depending on scope, and typical delivery is five days for a starter site to eight weeks for a full system. Every project ships with M-Pesa Daraja where payments are involved, and the code is yours at handover — no licence, no lock-in.
What we build
Four things, and we say no to work outside them rather than do it badly:
- Custom websites — designed from scratch for the business, not adapted from a bought theme. See custom website design.
- Business systems — POS, inventory, CRM, HR and payroll, built around how the company actually runs. See business management systems and POS systems.
- Payment and messaging integration — M-Pesa Daraja (STK Push, C2B, B2C), Africa's Talking SMS, the WhatsApp Cloud API.
- Ongoing support — a monthly retainer from KES 18,000 for the businesses that would rather not think about it again.

Why a Nairobi studio rather than an overseas one
- M-Pesa is not an add-on here. Daraja integration is something we do on most projects, not something we research when asked. Our Daraja integration guide is the reference we wrote from shipping it.
- Same timezone, same phone number. WhatsApp on +254 113 333 522 during Nairobi working hours, not a ticket queue eight hours behind you.
- KES pricing, fixed at quote. No dollar invoice that moves with the exchange rate between briefing and delivery.
- You own the code. At handover the repository is yours. If you want to move to another studio afterwards, nothing stops you — which is the point.
Work we have shipped

- Stitches & Style — an online store with M-Pesa checkout.
- Miles Motors — a motor dealership listing and enquiry system.
- Palmera Dining — an AI concierge and WhatsApp lead capture for a restaurant.
- Bridgerose Academy — a school management system with a fee portal.
The full portfolio is on the work page.

How a project starts
Send the brief through the project form or WhatsApp +254 113 333 522. The first conversation is a scope chat — we will tell you on the call whether we are the right fit, sketch a realistic budget, and follow up with a written quote.
Questions we get asked
How much does a website cost in Nairobi?
Websites at Owldid run from KES 35,000 for a starter site to KES 279,000 for an enterprise build. A growth site with proper SEO structure and lead routing is KES 84,900, and a site with e-commerce, bookings or M-Pesa payments is KES 159,900. Those are the published prices we quote from, not opening positions.
How long does a website take to build?
A starter site takes about five days once we have your content. A growth or pro site takes two to four weeks. Business systems take three to eight weeks depending on how much of your existing data has to be migrated. The main thing that delays projects is waiting on content and approvals, so we agree those dates up front.
Do you integrate M-Pesa?
Yes. M-Pesa Daraja is one of our core specialties — STK Push at checkout, C2B Paybill and Till reconciliation, and B2C payouts where a business needs them. We have shipped it into e-commerce stores, POS systems, school fee portals and booking systems.
Do I own the website when it is finished?
Yes, completely. At handover the code, the domain and the hosting account are in your name. There is no licence fee and nothing that stops you moving to a different studio later. We would rather keep clients because the work is good than because leaving is difficult.
Do you work with businesses outside Nairobi?
Yes. We are based in Nairobi and most of our clients are here, but we work with businesses across Kenya. Everything after the first meeting runs over WhatsApp, email and video calls, so location is rarely the constraint.
Need a website that actually brings in business?
Tell us what the business does and what you need the site to achieve. We will tell you what it costs and how long it takes, in writing, before you commit to anything.
